Still Life of Lemons

This painting was completed on a wooden box I had made two weeks prior. Here the exercise was to understand and value the full effect that complementary colours have on one another; hence the block-like lemons which allows the complementary colour to slip through. For this painting I tended to towards a stylised form of painting as I believe it would make for a more visually interesting still-life.
